Peace of Mind Child Development Center is a fully licensed childcare center in Birch Run, Michigan . Peace of Mind is located within St. Martin Church at the corner of M-83 and Canada Road . The center has been open since February 2003, and serves children age 6 weeks and up. Full-time and part-time care is available for children under the age of 6. We also offer latch-key and summer care for a limited number of school-age children.
Our facility is designed to provide a safe and fun environment for the children in our care. Each room is furnished with fun and educational materials. Our outdoor play area includes a fenced playground with swings, slides and climbers, and plenty of room for large muscle exercise. We are continuously evaluating and updating our programs and facilities to better serve the families in the community.
INFANTS
Children under 2½ are cared for in our infant room. Many developmental changes occur during this relatively short time. We provide a safe, nurturing environment for the children as they acquire new skills.
TODDLERS
Children ages 2½ through 4 are offered a variety of age appropriate activities. Group time, problem solving, cognitive activities, and creative play encourage growth in the children.
PRESCHOOLERS
Children over the age of 4 are learning many skills that will prepare them for kindergarten. These children learn much through creative and dramatic play, art projects, music, and a variety of “hands-on” experiences.
Each level of care is staffed by a primary caregiver. This consistency of care provides the children with security and stability, making the childcare experience most enjoyable and successful.

At Peace of Mind, we apply developmentally appropriate practices at every level. Our mission is to provide the highest level of childcare and age appropriate education based on Biblical principles in a Christ-centered environment. Our objective is to provide a healthy environment in which programs and care are offered to enhance a child's total growth and development. We provide an environment that encourages exploration and play. Through this type of environment the child can develop spiritually, emotionally, socially, cognitively, and physically.
